Obi's Response when Asked what He will Say to Those Saying He Will Not Get Votes in North

 

Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, discussed his reasons for running in a conversation with an Arise TV correspondent. Obi claimed that the need for a generational shift in light of this election was the basis for his optimism. He stated that elections are held in order to showcase candidates who have the skills, motivation, and character as well as the physical and mental stamina necessary for the position. The former governor of the state of Anambra stated that he is running for office in order to create a new Nigeria where everyone is treated equally, regardless of where they are from.

Peter Obi pledged to make investments in the entertainment, sports, and other industries that bring Nigerians together. He bemoaned the amount of North American industries that the government had shut down as a result of improper surveillance and vowed to restart them. When asked what he would say to those who thought he wouldn't garner support from the North, Obi responded that all they had been doing was faking all the things that had previously helped them win and put them through hardship.

Obi claimed that those who were trying to utilize race and religion to prevent him from winning had realized how knowledgeable the populace had become. The former governor of Anambra State emphasized his respect for all world religions and expressed his desire to see Muslims and Christians coexist together.

According to Obi, Nigeria needs a leader who is capable and qualified for the post. Nigeria need a person with moral integrity who is both mentally and physically capable of performing the work. We now have a trio of presidential, vice presidential, and party chairman candidates who were born after the country's independence for the first time.

We need a generational shift, and I'm committed to helping us create a new Nigeria. People seeking to stifle our movement by claiming that I can't win votes in the North do so on the basis of race and religion. I enjoy seeing Muslims and Christians coexist together, and I want to keep it that way."

In a video that is now making the rounds online, Peter Gregory Obi, a fervent labor party supporter and presidential candidate, is shown singing the national song of Nigeria while perched atop a very tall billboard.

At the labor party presidential rally on Saturday in Lagos, the scene was recorded. The fact that Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed stormed the state as part of their ongoing presidential campaign before the general election later in February is no longer news.

However, the rally was held after a fruitful outing in Abuja a few days prior. The labor party has now held rallies across the North, West, East, South, South-South, and North Central regions after the rally in Lagos.

Since the party's official launch in Lafia, Nasarawa state, a few months ago, they have traveled to several states, including Ebonyi, Ogun, Taraba, Sokoto, Rivers, Cross River, Osun, Kaduna, Benue, Borno, Jigawa, and many others.

However, the supporter's performance of the national anthem is what really drew people's attention. When Peter Obi led his supporters on a road walk, the action was captured.

Recall that the former governor of the state of Anambra organized a road walk with his supporters before heading to the Tafawa Balewa Square rally location.

The Supporter could be seen in the viral video waving the LP flag when the National Anthem was playing. He received a lot of encouragement from the audience, who cheered him on for the courageous deed.
