J AMB Announces Date For 2023 UTME Registration

On Tuesday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the starting date for registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board decided that the registration period for the 2023 UTME would begin on January 14th, 2023.

The conduct of the 2023 UTME itself, which is anticipated to culminate on May 12, was also slated by JAMB for April 29.



After a management meeting on Tuesday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said this.

He claimed that the board has indicated that the registration period for the UTME in 2023 would be from January 14 to February 14.

It is understood that the registration for direct entry (DE) application documents are not included in this.

According to the board, DE registration will start on February 20 and end on April 20 of 2023.

Additionally, JAMB set March 16 as the date for the optional mock UTME.

"Under the new structure, candidates signify their interest by paying for the mock exam when registering for the UTME, obviating the need for the centers," regardless of whether candidates appear, from suffering any loss.

The exam authority advised all candidates to "immediately" start creating their separate profiles if they wish to enroll for the 2023 UTME. prior to the formal start of the registration process.
